"Fine.... As long as everything is fine. However did not demonstrate a willingness to work with us when hiccups arose. We used Ryan's branch for several years for home, auto, and umbrella policies. Those years were fine. However when we bought a new home and got a policy for the new property, we were told 3 weeks after paying for and acquiring the new policy that it would be cancelled unless we replaced our roof within 3 weeks. While this is their right, the handling of the situation was poorly done with no interest in finding a solution: - The age of the roof has been disclosed up front, so revoking the policy 3 weeks after acceptance was an unexplained surprise. Nothing had changed with the home since approval. - Other policies reduce coverage of roof related issue but still insure the rest of the home, rather than cancel the entire policy (this is what our new policy does). Generally with a warning to address the issue by next policy renewal. - Other companies might allow a more reasonable 6-8 weeks to address the issue, rather than expect home owners to get a roof replaced in 3 weeks. It is near impossible to find a contractor, supplies, and line up labor for a new roof in 3 weeks. Upon bringing up the question of an extension to Ryan, we were told he was unaware our policy was being cancelled. We rely on our agent to be the one who knows about our policy so that we can resolve problems, so this ignorance indicated some internal communication issues. 2 stars for being fine for the first several years, and because this debacle caused us to find cheaper insurance with equivalent coverage elsewhere."
